What's up guys, does anyone have any advice for someone trying to get some 10P started in a city where there isn't any 10P schools around? Have any of you had this problem and how did you overcome it? Appreciate any advice.

You gotta be a gangster and be content with being broke for a while :)
Also, be humble and patient. If you are going this as a full on ronin, you will practice and put in your reps and think you have some of this stuff down. Then one day you will get to train with an instructor who will show you all the little nuances you can't pick up on video, the pressure, the connection. And you will probably feel an absurd amount of frustration, but you have to let that go. It's all part of it, but you can't dwell on it. It's been said before, and it will get said again, there is no winning or losing in training, so stop beating yourself up is things don't "your" way. Totally not speakking from experience tho, I always wreck everyone.
As a fellow Ronin too out in MA, the other thing you will need to do is manage the fact that while people may not diss the system as openly anymore (due to Metamoris III, EBI, and the fact that 10thpjj folks are showing this can work at high levels) sometimes to the side or in whispers to you they will try to plant in your ear "noone's won an ADCC or UFC title yet" who uses the system extensively), that you need to spend time in the GI, etc. There will be times you will be able to gently voice to them that no tech works 100% of the time (except maybe the 100% ha ha), and other times you will need to just maintain silence and move on with the day. I've been training for almost 4 years now, am finally getting down a decent amount of the system but I know for sure I still have some gaps that either I need to address or am not aware of yet. Just be patient, def learn whatever tech is shown in the non 10thpjj classes you attend, and then in rolling work in what you can (record your rolls if you can) and then when you go home see how you did, and try to adjust where needed.
My two cents..... :-)
