Injury
Anyone get a pinched nerve in their upper back/neck? I had that happen to me 2 months ago and its still killing me. I have a lot of pain in my armpit and all the way down my arm. I've gone to the doctor and they put me on steroids but it didn't take the pain away at all. Ive been to the chiropractor many times and it helps but it costs so much I can't afford to go to much. Anyone gone through this and what did you do to fix it? Thanks!

Couldn't be training if I didn't figure out that yoga stretches are key to my neck issues. Got a herniated disc and one fucked up neck. Always reoccurring and comes back if I don't keep up with my stretches. Also it's not the neck stretches that help, it's the OTHER surrounding muscles that are crucial to getting the neck issue to go away. Chest stretches, shoulders is big, upper back. But Those random neck stretches you learn in P.E. dont do shit.
What I did was I took a hot yoga class, and looked up "yoga stretches for back pain" on youtube and tried them all. And through trial and error, found the ones that work for me and it is instant results for me. Pain if I skip it, no pain the minute I stretch for a good 15mins.

Another thing you can do as well as the yoga stretches is go to a massage therapist. When I was in Colorado we had a girl that took care of us for a discounted rate. I would go there like once every two weeks as a preventative maintenance.

Stretch, Foam Roll, Use a Lacrosse Ball/Softball, go see a LMT (Licensed Massage Therapist)
I had a pinched nerve in my back that pained me to walk. I had to get a massage, electrostim, ultrasound therapy every other day for about 2 weeks. It's since resolved but it takes time. Make sure you always stretch and have drink h20

I had a guy go through this just this month. He had a severely pinched nerve muscle binding and spasms. He was on steroids, it didn't take away the pain because the nerve was so swollen it took a few weeks to go back he is just starting back now. In his case the lacrosse ball and massages made it worse because the nerve was the biggest issue. The doctor gave him an ultrasound and found all that I believe.

ditto with the stretches
i have mild stenosis and bulging disc( arm can go numb)
neck traction is huge for me
massage and chiro also
gotta lift weights /build muscle to support your body if you plan on training for a long time

This changed my life. Everything else just masks it till it flares up again. This rehabs your spine and shoulder girdle. It's not easy, but I swear on everything I believe in it the fuckn truth.

Awesome site Bobby. Thank you for posting that. I have been having back issues as well. Just randomly pulling muscles while not even doing strenuous activities.
