Radius Martial Arts Invitational

The Radius Martial Arts Invitational will be an 8 man submission only tournament on September 11th, presented by Radius Martial Arts Academy and 10th Planet Fairfield. Entry fee is $100 and winner takes all, plus some possible submission bonuses.

The weight class is under 190 lbs. Contact me or email radiusmartialarts@gmail.com if you are interested. We are collecting interested applicants and will be making selections in the next month.

Our venue is The Warehouse at Fairfield Theatre Company. https://fairfieldtheatre.org/

The Warehouse is a 640 seat music venue with an elevated stage, floor seating, and balcony seating. Spectator tickets are available through the link above and we will be streaming live and free on YouTube.

We are excited for this event and to join the sub only movement while providing a platform for competitors to showcase their skills and make some money.

We just released the bracket for The Radius Invitational; featuring Oliver Taza and Nick Newell, as well as 10th Planet competitors Chase Hannah and Jon Blank aka Thor. I am super excited for all of these match ups and to see how the bracket unfolds.

We also have three all female special matches, starting off with Tori Applegate vs. Faye Farrales out of Renzo Gracie Academy. We also have 12 year old Evyn Nile vs. 13 year old Julianna D'Antonio, and wrapping up with brown belts Rachel Beach vs. Jillian DeCoursey.

My moneys on Thor. Great bracket.

We have had a couple of injuries and replacements since the last bracket was posted. We have Daniel Lee from Maxum Jiu Jitsu replacing Andrew Meyer and Josh Yelverton from 10p Gulf Shores replacing Nick Newell.

Mad props to Nelson for this, and have to say it was an awesome event. Wicked impressed by the work Pat, Travis, the people helping out from the Fairfield gym, all the competitors and coaches, and the vibe from the fans to support an East Coast (towards New England part) EBI sub only event and allowing the competitors a chance to shine (and show you can win some paper mad props Thor).

Great seeing some old faces too JM, Zach, Thor, Ross, Ozzy, Sean, Tori, Chase, Josh, Tom, Kelz, Josh, Duane and more...it helped inspire me for some ideas to present back home to the college club I help out at as well as some other schools I cross train with for in house tourney formats. ..def hope more of these continue!
