Hey guys, I'm just curious what is the most popular guard..
I think taking the back is best but if you aren't counting that then rubber guard :)
Rubber Guard for me too. It's just fun, funky, and people with more experience than me seem to have trouble with it.
Triangle is a form of closed guard, right? It's just closed guard with one arm out. So I think I like triangle-guard best. After that, Hubber Guard son!
I think those are both technically closely related forms of high closed guard. Kissing cousins if you will.Quote:

That's a weird question. Could I play lockdown and use it to transition into dogfight, then to twister side and into the truck? Would I be able to play traditional half guard and then put in a stomp, and transition to the cocoon, to Jersey/Meathook/Gogo Clinch?
Triangle is not a Guard. It's an attack/submission position. Just like spiderweb is not a guard either. I don't think I've ever hear 'Triangle guard' before.Quote:
