Path to the Black Belt

I once heard BJJ Black Belt Keith Owen say to make it to Black Belt you need to GET tapped 10,000 times. Well, I got in about a hundred monday night at 10th Planet Decatur. Took a private with Brandon and asked him to show me some basic stuff that I "thought" I learned two years ago. Learned several small details that take the technique to another level. Its these small details that often make the technique really work. Also learned at open mat that his guard is impossible to pass. Thanks to everyone at Decatur for the help and great workout.

thanks for coming up, will, and for the kind words. i look forward to training with you more this year! i know the other guys (and ziggy) enjoyed you being there, too. :) it's always nice to have new people come through to train with, so i know they got a lot out of you being there.

I actually want to make a trip up to Decatur sometime soon. I'm competing at Naga Feb 12 so maybe sometime soon like late January? Sound okay to you Brandon?
