advice from instructors
so im only a white belt and one of my ambitions is to one day be an instructor in jj even now ill teach what i know to a couple friends and have taught some 10th planet basics to ppl at my traditional school my question is what advice can you guys give that you wish you wouldve had when you guys started out

lead by example. LEADERSHIP : Example Inspires. Don't rush to be a teacher so fast. Enjoy being a student.

Teaching and Doing are two different skills. You can be mediocre at doing BJJ and still be a good instructor. Likewise, you can be great at BJJ and really suck at explaining moves and putting them into context. If you want to be a good instructor, make sure you know as much about teaching as you do about jiu jitsu.
