It is a sad day for Jiu Jitsu in Charlotte. Luis "Sucuri" Togno was in a bad car accident and has passed away. Sucuri was the instructor of Sucuri BJJ (former Alliance of Charlotte.) He was the highest ranked black belt in the Carolinas.
I learned from him many times including just a few weeks ago.

I just started to get to know Luis but in the brief time I knew him I learned a lot from him. He was a great person and a wonderful teacher he will be missed.
im sorry to hear that jon. any friend of yours is a friend of ours. his family will be in our prayers.
