and i just saw fitch and diaz are vegetarians also? im not very knowledgeable when it comes to dietary/nutrition plans.. but is there a benefit to cutting out meat?
im wondering the same thing ^
My wife lost 17 lbs in the last 5 weeks just by cutting meat out of her diet.
I'm vegetarian and I love it. Jake Shields has been one his whole life and he has awesome strength and stamina.
I love my chicken and steak too much to become a vegetarian... Go cows and chickens!!! :)
If you're smart about your diet vegetarian or not you can achieve anything really it might just be a bit more complicated to do it that's all.
At the moment you know how much carbs, proteins, fat etc etc to take to reach your goal (either lose fat, gain some mass or whatever) you'll be sweet as :)
Fish isn't Vegetable Jon...
I became vegetarian for the first time in my life in 2011 and suprisingly haven't missed it really. There is too much really to write in a comment so it's best to do your own research on the topic but since I stopped eating meat I have taken something called Spirilina each day. Off the top of my head I think beef contains 25% complete protein but Spirilina contains something like 70% complete protein that is more easily absorbed by the body as it does not need to break it down. You can take it in powder in liquid form or tablets. When I worked it out I was getting more protein and Iron per day on average from the Spirilina then I was when eating meat plus loads of other vitimins and minerals that I wasn't getting enough of before. I have also become alot leaner and I would say my energy levels are higher overall.
