Jon Fitch Out 4-6 Months Due To Shoulder Injury, Requires Surgery

After a shoulder injury forced Jon Fitch out of a scheduled rematch with BJ Penn it now appears the top ranked welterweight contender will find himself on the shelf for at least another 4-6 months as the shoulder that was injured will require surgery.
Fitch dropped the news today via his Twitter account when he posted "Looks like I will be getting shoulder surgery next week. Not the news I was looking for."
Fitch and Penn were expected to meet in a rematch of their UFC 127 bout which ended in a draw.
