Twister grapevine troubleshooting

Ok, so i've been getting to baseball bat control with great success, but lately before I can finish the submission, my grapevine has been getting kicked loose by my opponents free leg. I have been playing twister for awhile now, but I still can't seem to get around this issue. Usually it becomes a race to see if I can finish the submission before they kick it loose. Am I just not stretching my grapevine out enough? Or is there a certain way I angle myself to avoid this? Obviously the truck is there, and the back is right there... but I'm just looking to up my finishing percentages on the twister. Thanks guys.

No pointers from any other twister players? :-/ ...

Have someone record your problem. Thats the only way the forum can see the whole situation. From your post it could be a number of things (how you are maintaining your lock down, or maybe how you got to Baseball Bat control, who knows)

Also, you asked if you "weren't stretching your grapevine out enough" which tells me you might not be. Stretch it out all of the way and make sure your body is at the right angle. If your partner is at the right angle he shold be stretched in such a way that it'a hard for him to kick at his other leg to free it. Check out MTS episode 9 and compare Eddie's body and leg positioning to yours.

Alright I'll tape it... its not such a huge problem that I can never finish the submission. More like a nuisance, does no one else have this issue when playing twister? I would guess that this is a common way to escape the grapevine while defending twister...
