Nice :-)
Bloody Elbow is my favorite MMA website right now.
i believe you're referring to this gem: "One final note: It's important to notice that from all the talk we hear about rubber guard protecting the guard player from strikes that we see that using basic rules of position that are laid out to just about every white belt that comes into an academy can also protect you from strikes. If technique is diligently applied and the details of the control and execution of the technique are applied then you can survive the situation longer than your opponent will, definitely a lesson learned from Helio."
I didn't see that quote, I guess I didn't read the whole thing. I think they missed the point. A good BJJ instructor who understand the purpose of the guard can teach a beginner how to clinch from the guard to protect from strikes. The RG is just another way to do that which gives you options for offense that the traditional full guard does not.
I was actually referring to the pictures of the Rubix Cube that they pulled off my site.
dude that picture is amazing nickomang
did you get those professionally done? or with like photoshop?
Bloody Elbow is a cool site, but its cool because of its layout and its fanposts. The writers can be egotistical and wrong at times... But really, its hard to find a website that you won't find a few flaws in :-)
on the show i work on we did an episode about a porn company, so i had to write a bunch of fake porn titles for set dec to make posters for the porn office. long story short they were like "we should put nick in one of the posters". incidentally it was for the only one whose title i didn't write - CaBigula (I would have called it the Trojan Whores)
