The composition of this forum

Is this forum mostly made out of people who do not train, or even if they do they have no idea what fighting/grappling is? Please do not take this as a troll but over the last month or so, there is exponential increase with the amount of stupid threads and posts regarding to fighting. I am not saying they are all stupid but I have a feeling that there is a whole lot of uneducated mma fan type conversations that are happening.

Again the purpose of this thread is not to put anyone down, maybe I am the one who knows nothing about mma/bjj and all of this is normal.

I am not against stupid threads that are not related to mma, they are fun and provide us with a smiles during busy work days, its that this is the 10th planet forums, so the main expertise here should be grappling and some amount of mma, therefore the threads that are related to those subjects should be thought a bit better maybe?

i think it is due to the fact that a lot of people like to look at this forum when there stoned, but if you have any serious questions about jujitsu someone will answer them if you post them.

It would be nice to have the board split up into categories like pretty much any other forum. Maybe grappling/mma/general/bullshit or something similar? Just my two cents.

Eddie doesn't want that its been brought up several times and he shot it down every time. I agree with him it makes it easy to follow.

Ah, didn't know it's been shot down before. It's all good either way, it doesn't effect my experience enough to care. Plus I just saw Herzog's Spring Cleaning post and it looks like things should be going a bit more smoothly around here now.

I like the way the forum is set up. In any forum you're gonna have a certain degree of idiots. I actually like the wide variety of topics cause if all we talked about was jiu jitsu there wuld be no variety. Just the same "hey I'm having trouble hitting the twister roll from tsc. Any tips?" And to be honest I def wouldn't stick around. Just ignore the dummies. They'll fizzle out

And new ones are gonna fizzle in. Better get used to it.

how did you get to 420 posts when all you did was writing meaningful posts? I didn't look them up, but writing them does take a lot of time, right? ;)

In my experience most of topics related to techniques go terrible wrong and you'd find the better answers most of the time on the mat anyway.

So that takes away a lot of subjects to discuss. There are a lot of great topics like updates on moons, interesting matches (Eddie vs. Romie II, Vinnie representing 10th Planet at ADCC et cetera) and stuff... But personally I ignore a lot of threads, too.

But I don't mind those threads. I just might to have to look a little longer for the info I want to know.

it sounds like you just glanced over my post instead of reading it. I said that I do not mind the unmeaningfull posts. I just thought that on a board like this, the knowledge and post quality with regards to mma and grappling should flourish. Rest of the stuff is fair game.

It's fairly easy to see who knows what their talking about anyways. Don't sweat the idiots and get the info you need from the tons of actual legit posters.
