Got my Blue Belt today!
So we were all lined up at my gym awaiting the promotion of one of our Brown Belts to Black belt. (it was all a big surprise to him, he had no idea) when my instructor said he wanted to recognize someone for doing a great job. I'm paraphrasing but this is about how it went. My Instructor says, "I want to recognize Steve-o for his great work and dedication, I've never promoted someone that uses rubber guard before but he's been smashing people ever since he got here, congratulations." I would like to thanks the 10th planet community and Eddie Bravo for showing me a different side of Jiu Jitsu that is allowing me to be successful. I've only been doing Jiu Jitsu for a year and a half, and I don't think I could be as effective at Jiu Jitsu if it wasn't for how well this system is taught and how effective it really is. thank you everyone!
