Wrist Locks

Meh.. I had to tap to a wrist lock last night. Not because it hurt, not because it was injuring something, but just because I knew that I would have to be wearing tape on my wrist for a month if I didn't tap. Kind of like when a dude grabs your big toe.

Thx for the vids. I like wrist locks, used them with a high success rate on buff meat heads that won't tap for anything ;)

I want to be able to have a large array of submissions, so obviously wrist locks will one day be a large part of my game. they just seem like they are in a lot of spots that are not expected.
that top half guard wrist lock looked awesome. i want to drill that shit.

Roy Dean is suppose to have a good DVD set for wristlocks in BJJ. "Art of the Wristlock" I think

wrist locks are everywhere.

They are legit, I tapped to one. People tap to them all of the time. My issue with wristlocks (the goose neck wristlock specifically) though is that I can't imagine somebody tapping to them in a high level MMA or grappling match. I have seen men break a finger during live rolling who only stop after they are done to then realize that they broke a finger. I'm sure you guys have seen it too, the gnarly dude at a gym who breaks his toe, wraps it with tape like a mummy, and then jumps back on the mat.
I've seen that gooseneck wrist lock compressed to the point where the palm is touching the wrist and nothing broke. Different strokes for different folks and some people are freaks but I just don't think that breaking toes and wrists is a "fight finisher".
