Chael Sonnen's "Gimmick" is to be a hater and talk trash in all forms. I personally believe everything you said other than sonnen being a sociopath and needing to be hospitalized, but it doesn't mean what sonnen is saying isn't fucking hilarious. But you know whatever it's your opinion and that's part of being a fan which is disliking certain fighters....same in all sports i guess.

I will say (even as one of my fav fighters) my boy Chael was a bit too hard. I was surprised to see Wanderlei is 2-4 recently, and he did bring up a good point about the pound for pound topic.

Sonnen is a certified asshole.....and a genius. I mean, think about it, he went from being unknown other than being a grinder who always gets tapped by good JJ guys, to now being the guy who almost beat Anderson. And now he's the most divisive character in the fastest growing sport in the world. How'd he get there? Trash talk. His copious amounts of trash talk didn't even begin until he got into the spot light when he was getting ready for Anderson. And he's smart to keep the trash going. it's what got him famous. How many super nice guys are as famous as Chael right now without being a champ? How many Phil Davis interviews are posted here? Chael is a genius. And it's so convincing I really think that's how he is. And maybe it is. I forgot who said it, but the quote goes "Love me. Hate me. I'm just glad you're talking about me."

But I would love to see him fight soon. He's one of the few grinders who I find entertaining.
