Cael Sonnen

So yeah long story short. Heard a lot about this guy from the forums and various mma outlets on the internet. There is no doubt hes entertaining. However! Seems my dear mother knows him and has been helping him with training here and there. Its looking like they might date. :mad:

Now being a Jiu Jitsu guy and hearing the crap he says that he may or may not mean fully rubs me the wrong way. So I turn to you guys. How do I sabotage a possible relationship between my mother and Cael Sonnen without getting beat to death? :confused:

I can't tell if this is for real or not. Take advantage of the opportunity to train with him. Photoshop a picture of nogueira feeding a carrot to a bus and he should induct you into his clan.

Oh it is sadly for real haha. xD Ugh... He lives in the Portland area and my mom helps train fighters from time to time. They met I guess.

But they are still talking to each other and I swear to god I'm not going to get a long with the dude if he really thinks Jiu Jitsu isn't the shit. xD I'd rather work on my stand up with my mom's other friends then that douche.

He may talk a lot of smack but, if this is real I would encourage you to learn as much as you can if you get the opportunity. He has a wrestling background. He's a savvy self promoter. He knows the MMA game.

I'd try to train and learn as much grappling from him as possible...it is a bit awkward for him to date a family member (let alone ur mom) but if she's interested in him not much else say u really have at that point. Hopefully it works out for the best for everyone though.

How strong is your mothers triangle? Chael has few weaknesses, he can just sit in her guard and pound away for hours. But if she can distract him and wrap her legs around his head, you may not end up with a future d-1 wrestling champ for a little brother...good luck.

I partly wanted to see what responses I'd get from this situation but that.. Oh man. Haha oh dear lord. First the wrestling team gave me crap about her back in the day and now you guys. Giving me warm and fuzzy feelings. Yep yep xD I didn't really expect very many serious responses lol.
