I also hate weight cutting and the principle behind it. But I also like winning, and you know that there is a huge difference between beating up big dudes in the street and competing against people who train there asses off. Ten pounds of muscle can be a huge difference if it knows when and where to go.
For grappling comps I dont really worry much anymore and will only cut under five pounds. Mma I have to take it more seriously, unfortunately.
How much over are you and are weigh ins day-of or before?
