Make him take some wrestling classes. On top of having some good takedowns he will develop a strong top game :)

Seriously. Plus, if he's good enough, wrestling will pay for college, get scholarships. If he's good enough he could be an olympian. For JJ it give an incredible base, balance, timing, explosive power. Having him wrestle would help him a lot.
