Help with Milton Vieira Finish

hey folks, anyone know about this finish milton gets? looks like something between a darce and a japanese necktie

Looks like a darce from guard. Darcotine maybe. I dont know what thats called... Notice the leg blocking like a Carne.

i wonder if that is a better position to finish a darce from or if he just has a really intense squeeze

Its an option for when they're not on their side. Instead of dumpin 'em , you can slide under and capture, then arch and squeeze crunching his head toward his chest. This will help finish the choke. Im sure his squeeze is amazing though, but ive finished this way as well.

im a white belt but isn't that an arm in ninja choke.

so its like a japanese necktie where you hip in (forcing his head to his chest as you mentioned) but you go to the full darce grip instead of just sticking with the vice-grip?

true that, a ninja choke is essentially a no-arm darce. you can look at it either way.
