I did a tourney last weekend. The Japanese Necktie has been working well for me. Eddie was dead on about this move.
Oh, he ended up being ok. Just needed some ice.

easy peasy lemon squeezy
fuck looks like his head almost came off
He didn't even feel it coming, nice. I'm wondering if I should rewire my marcelo pass to an overhook instead of an underhook just to hit this sub? Or is that just breeding a bad tendency for the chance of hitting a submission on the transition?
Well if you watch the video again I actually posted it as an underhook, he just swam in and grabbed the single. I don't know if doing the pass with the intention of giving up the underhook is a good tendency to have all the time. I'd say let it arise naturally, but there's nothing wrong with experimenting.
I guess it would be the standing knee cut through open guard.
@ Landon, that's what I was thinking too.
Did he died?
Look at that kid crying about the neck....
I think it's a bad tendency personally. Seems like someone good could use that opportunity to take your back or recover guard with a well-timed bump. Obviously a situational thing, maybe it works maybe it doesn't, but it seems like you could just pass securely with the underhook then attack with overhook options from there.
Nice job OP
