hey guys, been diligently working on the sweep/ sub. I sometimes get stuck when I go to chop the car and lift forward, the heavier guys seem to sit flat on my arm and I cant seem to roll them forward.... what should be my next step from there?

in my opinion, to do xgaurd, get to stonger control, and to have successful butterfly sweeps you should develop this rock, because it keeps your momentum on strong whil you compromise his base. If you stop you give him time to readjust and thus put pressure down on you.

If I cant get the whip up and chop or he stuffs it by posting his hands on the mat and then walking back into me I usually just go deep half and look for sweeps from there. going back and forth from lockdown to deep half really works beautifully...especially against bigger guys.
