You know dude, I am looking at your post as an outsider since I do not train at 10th planet school or anything, but let me tell you this. If YOU are taking a one week trip to HQ and fund this trip with the money your wife needs to heat the house you are not proving that you have major commitment to JiuJitsu. You are proving that you are a horrible, irresponsible husband, who should have never married and took the responsibility of a relationship. Grow up, go take care of your family. Jiujitsu will be there for you when you come back, and if you can never come back well thats ok too, your family comes first.
irrational much? sounds like getting your blue belt wouldn't have been a cure-all for your problems bro
I say keep going as long as it doesn't drastically impact ur family...
A belt's for holding up your trousers!!
Seriously dude your family must come first, before training.
If you are that serious about jits and want to get ranked and compete. Then you need to start making some serious plans and look into moving your family from the small town you live in to a place where there is sufficient jits.
A lot of people make a great big song and dance about their training but dont actually do anything serious to solve the problem.
Most importantly you must consider your family and if they love you they will consider how you feel about jits. Then you can make plans to solve the problem. Isn't that what marriage is all about. Working together to tackle what life throws at you - together!?!?
I hope you can turn your words in to actions.
Good luck
What in the fuck just happened.....
With ya on that one Palmer!! I read this and was kinda like wtf. I cant tell if he is pissed that he did not get promoted by going to hq or what. Makin a trip to hq for a week expecting to get a promotion out of it is not the right mindset. This is jus my opinion tho.
a belt is just a color man.
I've never had sex with a woman:(
