sometimes they give you lockdown, sometimes they give you deep half.

if they pass my lockdown, then I go to qguard to deep half

I love to lock down, extend and slide them down. Then throw my outside leg over for flying kungfu to carni. Their head will be mid chest/belly. So if you are flexible you can hook that leg over. Then you other leg is poised to hook that carni. I find this works best for me on bigger guys. Maby because im being crushed and cant whip up.
Tell ya what, when my opponent happens to get out of my lockdown or prevents me from even getting it by hiding his foot in the "knee pit" of his opposite leg, knowing how to use deep half can't hurt your game.
Knowing how to use as many guards as possible is very important, but having a go2 guard, a guard that is your baby, a guard that you can rely on when your opponent is a nightmare is crucial :)
