Is there any tenth planet take down technique material out there? It's the one thing I've noticed Eddie doesn't teach. Would be good to know some

There is no official syllabus for take downs and throws for 10th Planet, however many of us have Judo,Sambo and Wrestling classes at our Academies.
Thanks chris.
Check out some of 10th planet rochester's HL and you'll see some takedowns/throws that work for the system.
If all you want to do is drag people into guard, then just focus on getting an over hook. Once you get the over hook use the other hand to brace their hip (or head) back and roll back with your legs wide to catch full guard landing with a free new york (or sometimes chill dog).
Personally, I like to use the standup sparring as an opportunity to develop my takedowns so I'll either work an outside single to leg lace, double underhooks to take the back, or try a hip throw off of the overhook (which usually turns into a mess and I end up pulling guard). Sometimes the best way to start is just to find a takedown that looks cool, and then try it, seeing if it blends with your game at all. Then just keep developing and adding stuff.
I find that I'm working takedowns less and less. I probably shy away from takedowns because of my back and knee problems. Having said that, my sweeps are now very high percentage. So, I generally pull guard and sweep, then work for subs from the top. :)
If you can get over/under hooks, or an over hook and the head, you can go down into a butterfly sweep and end up in mount or side control. It's harder to get the right angle from standing but you get much better momentum. If you don't get the sweep you can land in butterfly guard and work the different sweeps or pull guard. It's very hard to stop especially if you manage to get an over hook.
All good points and tips. It would be cool to see some unique takedowns that rely on flexibility and orthodox defenses-counters though. Too bad I'm not genius enough to invent them.
hhmmmmm i see another book eddie can put out that i would gladly buy..
