After doing Jits for 3 years, in the last month it seems like it's all "clicked". The rolls are slowing down and I'm implementing that days lesson into the rolls right away. Have you guys had the same experience?

100%. I'm the same. 3 years, just beginning to feel in control. Isn't it genius.
I've come to find out that, for me at least, training is a series of epiphanies that happen over time.
all about reps
I believe what you are describing is an intense state of being focused. This has actually got me thinking about some things and kind of inspired me so I have to say thank you!
I try to learn just one thing, no matter how small, and it totaly adds up in the long run
i have moments where every thing i have learnt gels together i havent had the full experiance yet
Things are easier to learn now but it still takes repetition to increase the percentage on an attack. Where my mind is really getting blown is just on fundamentals and realizing how broad their implications are. I joke at the gym that I should just have a t-shirt that says, "underhook" because whenever people ask for advice it's all I fucking talk about. lately though i'm fixated on how a guillotine is really about the management of hip distance. to elaborate.. if you had two legless guys choking each other, the only difference between a dude hitting a guillotine and getting choked by an arm triangle is how high or low his hips are in relation to his opponent.
