Butt Scooting
So I've been working on this a lot lately; some x guard, goes, a little de la riva. I need some help with the finer points and good strategies. I love hitting the leg locks and sweeps but sometimes I'll just get passed.
I try to control the outside of the knees, and it works somewhat. But should I chase the guy? Should he come to me?
I know there's a few guys on here who are Scoot Masters, and I need in on the glory :P

I don't consider myself a butt-scoot master, but I find that the more aggressive you are, the harder it is for someone to pass your open guard. I always threaten with arm-drags whenever I can reach an arm, even if it's unlikely to work, because my opponent is no longer thinking about passing, but defending.

active guard and I keep at least one hook on the thigh shin hip or under an arm

if u take a look at saulo ribeiro's University of Jiu Jitsu book, he really emphasizes scooting as opposed to bridging when an opponent has you back and neck
