My classmates are getting real smart to my electric chairs and old schools. As soon as I go for the leg they sprawl that leg back. Is going to perfect doubles best play from here? I have tried to spin to deep half, but my deep half sucks.
Thoughts?

Mabye give the 5-0 sweep a try? And mabye use them sprawling the leg back to regain your guard.
Thanks for the tips, I put in some work on both Plan b and the 5-0 last night. Most of the guys I have trouble with are former wrestlers. The sprawl is soo good and hips so low and strong I cannot even reach the leg for plan B. If they get a bit sloppy I can get plan b. The 5-0, I've been working for a few months, and last night was similiar results. I can make the trasition to the retard side perfect doubles, but I cannot get the darn far arm pinned!! Any tips!
I can go to guard, but with the deep perfect doubles I end up just putting his legs in my guard and it tough going to get up to his waist let alone a good high guard. Any tips a greatly appreciated.
Practice your dip set and your whip up for 15 minutes before and after every class.
Also, you should be doing everything you can to start your half guard game already on your side with double under hooks.
Re watched MTS 6 about the dipset. Huge place to for improvement. Thanks a ton.
I saw Eddie on MTS explain that when nearly in position for the electric chair, (leg not on shoulder, but in the crook of the arm),you can throw your own leg over for a footlock entry. You can also stiff arm his armpit, and start to stand up. (Should look like one of those x guard sweeps, where you stand up)
I haven't gotten around to trying it out myself, and I might be explaining it wrong. Also; can't remember which MTS.
The last new thing I hit from the lockdown was the Mechanic, and that was awsum! :D (saved my ass, I was about to tap to a Darce, then I thought.. wait a minute..!)
Takes time learning this lockdown game, there's always new stuff, not to mention all the work it takes to get good at the basics! :) But damn it works well!
Yup, half guard has been my goto position since around 2004 when I saw a vid of Eddie explaining it. As the people that I roll against get wise to my stuff I need to constantly patch up any holes in my HG game that they find. The mechanic is great, It requires getting that foot!! I often bait them with an open darce to get them to bring that leg up close to me. Then it is good to go. They won't hardly take the bait anymore and just keep that leg back and hips low. I think some serious Dip set reps is going to pay off well in the long run.
dogfight is my go to if old school and electric chair arnt there. opens up a whole new game
Side note: Snoogens44, do you do anything else from the dogfight besides limp arm to back control or grabbing far knee and driving through? The later needs a name bad, I don't think I have heard a name for that yet. I could use a few more options from dogfight.
