yeah this is a question not an awesome way to get people to advertise through you as you beat on people. I'm fighting on may 26th and am trying to get some sponsors up to make my fight a lil more comfortable. does anyone have any advice tips tricks and so forth? what does a company look for? (i know i'm not at a level where a "mma" company would look at my stats, what does a normal company look for?)

Where are you fighting man?
they will probably ask....what can you do for their business?
If I was you, I would write up a sponsorship letter and present to local "mom & pop" businesses that could actually benefit from you walkiing out with their logo or name on your shorts, t-shirt, and banner. The letter can give them a brief history of yourself, etc and then list things you can do that will get their company's name out there. You can search the net for sponsorship letter examples.
Honestly, if I was a small business owner, a cpl hundred bucks thrown down on an easy marketing and advertising plan would be a smart business decision.
Tatoo parlors
Hair salons
Non-franchise restaurants
Any locally owned small business
to get mma sponsors, just go out and do your thing. as far as non mma affiliated companies ur gonna need to give them a reason to support u. like you know the owner or are from the same town as the business yada yada...i mean its about knowing the right people with non mma affiliated businesses. be careful tho. there are a bunch of companies out there that will try to screw ammys over.
If your fight is televised it will help a ton, even if its just local TV.
If the fight isn't televised I would recommend local companies for $ and small mma gear companys for possible gear
