The release date has kept changing. It's the publisher.
Nah amazon change it pretty often. My mate has it on order from amazon n says he keeps gettin emails tellin him they have changed the release date.
I even emailed them askin if they had physical stock of it. They said they would in 10 days. This was months ago

I've seen different release dates on different websites. I even asked my FLBS and they gave me a different release date from their distributors. So I'm not holding my breath until I see it on the shelf or people on here are celebrating the release.
I posted on Victory Belt's FB page a while back, and they said they were looking to release it "in the spring."
I believe it when people start posting pics of it in their hands
I pre-ordered a copy through Amazon and I haven't recieved any emails about the date changing. I hope they haven't lost track of my order!!! lol.

I may be imagining it but I believe on the last EBR podcast Eddie said he spoke with the publishers recently and it is going to be released in May.
I sure hope so. Brutal, how long they have delayed it, for no reason as far as I can understand it. I fail to see the advantage in sitting on a book that is ready to go, instead of getting it out there and selling copies. I just don't understand.Quote:

Well...It got pushed back again. My advice, if you've pre-ordered it, I suggest you cancel it. Sorry Eddie, but VB needs to learn a hard lesson. My suggestion is to pull Advannced Rubber Guard and find another publisher. VB has been screwing you over by continually pushing the release date back.

I hope yall don't take this the wrong way but, have all of you master the rubber guard yet, from the Mastering the Rubber Guard book? I look at the book and there are so many tech in there that I'm kind of glad the Advance Rubber Guard book is not out yet because that gives us time to work on the old moves even more....:) Hopefully we get into it enough so that when the Advance Rubber Guard book comes out, we are able to understand those new techniques...
bruce i think thats part of the problem, that some of those moves are old and the system has updated itself so that learning those old moves is not bad so much as going to make it difficult when we all find out about new ones and then have to go and break bad habits.Quote:

It's not so much learning the advanced rubber guard it as much as it is just bad business. I order a lot of books from speciality publishers. I've been patient when books get pushed back. But I've also been burned and have lost cash when a publisher keeps moving a release date back as much as this has been. From my experience, it's a sign that the publisher is in trouble.
Between the DVD's and the three books (Jiu Jitsu Unleased included), that should keep anyone busy for a while. The system is always evolving though so it's great to have reference to all the new material. :)Quote:

I sent them a SCATHING email. Not that they will give a crap. It's obvious they don't care about what their Martial Arts consumer base is thinking.
They are fooling themselves if they think that they are not losing business on their paleo line of books though, (which is what they seem to be heavily invested in) because a lot of martial artists purchase books on Paleo/dietary/exercise, etc.
They won't see another red cent from me.

It's unfortunately pretty common on Amazon. They'll list a pre-order for a work-in-progress, include a BS release date (don't understand why they can't just say "TBC" for non-confirmed products), then keep changing the dates (eventually cancelling the pre-order if the product doesn't get released).
Exactly. This is why Bruce Lee shut down his schools in one fell swoop: people were not evolving but emulating and he was evolving so fast he couldn't disseminate the info quick enough. His ultimate goal was to teach the people how to learn and how to find their own personal way and he changed so quick he couldn't be concerned with slowing down to make sure everyone else evolved likewise. It's an understandable decision. We are HELLA fortunate that Eddie is as much about the teaching as he is about his own evolution! I've found that the books are a great reference but the videos on MTS, the DVD's, the seminars and definitely this forum are so much more alive and a functional learning method. That being said, I'd buy that damn book in a New York minute :-)Quote:
