is doing some play by play. Not very good, but you can find some info.
Amir's match is over, but it didn't say who won.
I read Amir lost
Think Amir lost by points
Most of the favorites advanced thru Round 1, Vinny Magalhaes, Buchecha, Joao Gabriel, Cyborg, Lister, Assis, Leo Nogueira, Lovato Jr, Avelan, Lucas Leite. Upset of the event so far is Claudio Calasans losing to Oscar Piechota from Poland. Kron Gracie choked out Andy Wang. Keenan Cornelius beat Clark Gracie. Ben Henderson won. Ezra Lenon won
From the bloody elbow link:
"DJ "Open Warrant for His Arrest on 3rd Deg Sexual Assault" Jackson is a tough out,"
That new nickname is a mouthful but it fits him well.
Vinny out
Amir and Vinny didn't lose to a Slouch... I can see Dopp going to the finals!
I just read that Vinny won.....
Vinny won his first match, lost the second
Uhhhmmmm......so what ACTUALLY happened to vinny?
My coach Ezra Lenon just lost to Dean Lister. He was winning 5-0 and had full mount on Dean. 8 minutes into the match Dean bucked him off and tapped him with a heel hook. Ezra is da man!!! so close to beating one of the best!!!
Anyone see Kron almost get caught in twister????
What happened to Vinny?
Guys bloody elbow isn't entirely accurate. Vinny lost on points, the guy said he won by sub. If you want, like Grapplers Planet on fb, I'm doing updates as we speak. I even organize to show who is in what semis
Dopp has done incredibly well thus far and exceeded many peoples expectations...including probably his own. He was the top blue belt of his weight and is the second best purple belt at his weight. But you have to remember he beat Amir whos been a brown belt for quite a while and Vinny who was the reigning champ and an out of this world nogi grappler. He's actually got a legit shot at beating Joao Gabriel, so he's making things really interesting in that division. Semis are him vs Joao Gabriel and Buchecha vs Cyborg!
Semi-Finals are set! Thank you Grapplers Planet!!

I was just gonna post that. You're welcome sir, I gotchu bro. I do a bunch of updates on Grapplers Planet. We were like the second outlet to report Rodolfo was out, prob 2nd or 3rd to report Palhares was banned, and have been on top of all the newest info for the World Jiu Jitsu expo ;) Make sure to show us some love and like us on fb!!!
Vinny wasn't too happy with the match and had a discussion with the referees after.
A few 10th planet people in the crowd that went and got photos taken with Amir and Eddie. Eddie was cheering on Gary Tonon in his first match and then he went and sat with him after his loss to Kron, his truck to back take was awesome too.
There was a girl playing rubber guard too that Eddie was shouting instructions at from the bleachers. Kristina Barlaan
Damn I forgot about the time difference. :(
Seems to me that both Lovato Jr's camp and Atos are BEASTING it this year! Got Lovato, Rader and Dopp in the semi-finals of their divisions, as well as Rafa Mendes, Keenan and JT in the Semi's of their divisions, plus Lister was in Atos camp as well and Galvao won his Super Fight against Braulio.
I cannot WAIT to watch the short documentary about the Atos ADCC Camp. I think Stu Cooper is releasing it.
yeah the Miyao's spend a fair bit of time with the Mendes bros and Galvao and co too. :)
What time do the matches start today?
Thanks Kyle, Brandon, Sam and others for the GP love! Much appreciated :)
To touch on Nick's point, Lovato Jr and Team Atos' respective camps were from what we can tell, the most organized. Alliance and Barra brought their armies, but Lovato Jr had everyone training hard together, with a guy in 4 of the 5 divisions division and I'm sure you've all seen their training camp vids, they've been on point thus far. Dopp is just game planning it up despite fighting superior guys (Amir and Vinny), Lovato has looked oh so crisp, and Rader is on a tear and after Cobrinha for that rematch. With Atos, they are always killing it, but their camp this year for ADCC was unreal - Mendes, Galvao, Calasans, JT, Jimmy Friedrich, Keenan, and Lister would show up a bit with his guys too. Thats insane training, plus their lower belt students, some of who are amazing (Liera Jr, etc) were pushing them everyday as they prepped for Nogi worlds coming up. Our editor in chief at Grapplers Planet, GP Gregg, was down in Cali last week and was training at Atos (along with Cobrinhas, Humaita SD, etc) and said those Atos dudes are straight monsters and were looking super ready to smash
JT Torres vs. Kron Gracie is going to be a good one.
Digging Grapplers Planet...will like on FB. Thanks.
Pablo dominated avellan! Awesome.
All this love from 10th P all of a sudden! Much appreciated, had to give y'all a shout out on GP. Go check Grapplers Planet on facebook to see :) Also if you're interested, GP Gregg and I will be doing updates again tn for ADCC
Cobrinha finally did it
