This was from the first Midwest training camp. I won the first match quickly but the second was an all out war between a girl with 20 years wrestling experience and myself, who had a year of jiu jitsu at that point.

This match is from last November. It was for the gold in women's advanced. It shows that I don't give up and can come back from a deficit because submissions are always better than playing for points!

Fabis first year of jiujitsu. her only losses came in the finals of her first tourney and against a 17 year old male who outweighed her by 20 lbs. She won all the matches featured in the highlight:)

That's cool - I like her strategy of going for the head and arm control each time she's on her feet, then once she gets it dropping straight into the arm bar - if you don't get it then at least she's in guard and she can work triangle, etc..Quote:

Here is one of my matches from the IBJJF Chicago open a couple weeks ago. I took 3rd in open class since I lost my next match to a girl who qualified for Abu Dhabi Pro.
I'm also very excited to meet even more of my jiu jitsu family when I'm back in LA next week! Tuesday morning class at HQ, Wednesday evening class at West LA and Saturday morning class at Costa Mesa!

Here's one of my recent matches from the Kakuto Pro tournie from the end of April. This was my first match and one win. Had two other matches that went the whole 12 mins and were a draw. If I would have submitted this girl a min. faster I would have made it to the finals. But it was an honor just to be invited. There were three of us blue belts there and three purples. My accomplishments were lower than anyone's there so I was just honored to be invited and hold my own. :-) Enjoy.
