The rapture is "supposed" to happen, not the end of the world.
It wont but same thing as december 21st 2012 i refuse to die on those days lol
When Christ returns to take the saved and it marks the beginning of the 7 year tribulation.
well im muslim lol
Christians and Muslims all part of the 10th Planet!
Thank logic and reason I'm atheist! The atheist "end of times" won't come till our universe's sun starts to expand slowly as it turns into a red giant. How about that 200 degree weather ladies and gents! Our other "end of times" is at the hands of humans via nuclear warfare and winter. 3 eyed fish anyone?

its funny because the bible itself says that nobody but god knows the end of times. so even the biggest retards who read that book can use the slightest logic to understand that nothings happening on the 21st if people think the end of the world is coming. but then again the majority of christians who believe in this garbage tend to pick and choose what they follow from the bible. Its easy to believe in something u know little about.
I am not even bummed about the world ending, I am just bummed at the fact that I won't be able to get to Disneyland because it is happening in the morning haha.
It depends on who you ask. Amillennialists, premillennialists, postmillennialists? Premillennialists often give much attention to the doctrine of the rapture. According to this doctrine, when Christ returns, all of the elect who have died will be raised and transformed into a glorious state, along with the living elect, and then be caught up to be with Christ. The key text referring to the rapture is 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17, which states, "For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the archangel’s call, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first; then we who are alive, who are left, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so we shall always be with the Lord."
Premillennialists hold, as do virtually all Christians (except certain postmillennialists), that the Second Coming will be preceded by a time of great trouble and persecution of God’s people (2 Thess. 2:1–4). This period is often called the tribulation. Until the nineteenth century, all Christians agreed that the rapture—though it was not called that at the time—would occur immediately before the Second Coming, at the close of the period of persecution. This position is today called the "post-tribulational" view because it says the rapture will come after the tribulation.
But in the 1800s, some began to claim that the rapture would occur before the period of persecution. This position, now known as the "pre-tribulational" view, also was embraced by John Nelson Darby, an early leader of a Fundamentalist movement that became known as Dispensationalism. Darby’s pre-tribulational view of the rapture was then picked up by a man named C.I. Scofield, who taught the view in the footnotes of his Scofield Reference Bible, which was widely distributed in England and America. Many who read the Scofield Reference Bible uncritically accepted what its footnotes said and adopted the pre-tribulational view, even though no Christian had heard of it in the previous 1800 years of Church history.
Eventually, a third position developed, known as the "mid-tribulational" view, which claims that the rapture will occur during the middle of the tribulation. Finally, a fourth view developed that claims that there will not be a single rapture where all believers are gathered to Christ, but that there will be a series of mini-raptures that occur at different times with respect to the tribulation.
This confusion has caused the movement to split into bitterly opposed camps.
The problem with all of the positions (except the historic, post-tribulational view, which was accepted by all Christians, including non-premillennialists) is that they split the Second Coming into different events. In the case of the pre-trib view, Christ is thought to have three comings—one when he was born in Bethlehem, one when he returns for the rapture at the tribulation’s beginning, and one at tribulation’s end, when he establishes the millennium. This three-comings view is foreign to Scripture.
Problems with the pre-tribulational view are highlighted by Baptist (and premillennial) theologian Dale Moody, who wrote: "Belief in a pre-tribulational rapture . . . contradicts all three chapters in the New Testament that mention the tribulation and the rapture together (Mark 13:24–27; Matt. 24:26–31; 2 Thess. 2:1–12). . . . The theory is so biblically bankrupt that the usual defense is made using three passages that do not even mention a tribulation (John 14:3; 1 Thess. 4:17; 1 Cor. 15:52). These are important passages, but they have not had one word to say about a pre-tribulational rapture.
THANK THE WHITE LORD SOMEONE AGREES WITH ME!!!!!!
but religious people made this theory up
so go figure, its already wrong
Wow... now that was impressive Lee. But you did forget one group. The panmillennialists. That is no mater how it happens it will all pan out for good in the end:) I have been a little concerned about the end of the world prediction for May 21 with Eddie being here that day. 2 years ago I was told hell would freeze over before we would get Eddie to come to Yuma. Well it's only 3 days away and the temp was in the 50s this morning. It's usually 100+ coincidence? Looking forward to seeing you guys this weekend brother.
Nice copy and paste Lee, good info. http://www.catholic.com/library/Rapture.asp
Premellenial, Post Trib was the majority, orthodox view of the early church until the fourth when Augustine first formulated the amillenial view. From my study of the scriptures I believe the early christians correctly interpreted the Bible with the premill, post-trib view, sometimes called Historic Premillenialism.
And no, the world is not going to end on Saturday the 21st. 2011.

I am going to poop on the street when all the good people are gone.
I have a problem with a post-tribulation rapture; God will not pour out His wrath upon the Church, if you believe that the rapture will take place at the end of 7 years you can identify the day that the rapture will take place just as a thief in the night comes without warning so will Christ, and the marriage of the Lamb to his bride(the Church) between the Rapture and the return of Christ to the earth two events concerning the church will take place; the judgment seat of Christ and the marriage of the Lamb. The Bride is depicted as wearing "fine linen, clean and white; for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints" (Rev. 19:8). This could only be possible if the church has completed her examination at the judgment seat of Christ. Therefore, the marriage of the Lamb would be prior to the return of Christ in Revelation 19:11-21.
Lee if you have a chance we've got a small faith based site for fighters, btsword.org always looking for feedback or inspirational material
The end of "Earth times" is going to come, but not from any magical being. It'll come from a naturally occurring phenomenon. And don't worry guys, it won't be in our lifetime, or our great grandkids' to 100th power time either. I'm just hoping by the time that a our galaxy's sun starts to turn red giant, we have the ability to navigate space a la Star Trek style =D. I call dibs on being head security officer for starship USS 10th Planet. The holodeck is going to be a helluva place to train jits noh?
