Nice! Simple and effective.
Beautiful. Loving the name too.
Amazing stuff, I've tested it with some guys at todays open mats and it works great for all of us. One the blue belts knew about that escape already though and said he saw it under the name of "Kevin home alone escape". I guess that would make sense too

Hey Brandon, I know I'm late on this. I still didn't really get a chance to film anything for you yet. I will, but here are some gifs that give an idea on how to slide and avoid the counter of the arm coming across. I know you've seen everything in this post, but hopefully it can help some people.
If anyone doesn't want to rewatch Brandon's awesome video here:

you can get the idea on a gif here too http://i.imgur.com/CWtAx99.gif). If their arm comes across you're stuck under side control/north south and you're fucked.
Ryan Hall and Jeff Glover as you know are both big darcers/marcers and they're very good at these. The idea is to keep their posture broken during the entry, and to stay on your side, raising your profile, making it harder for the arm to go across. Some Ryan Hall gifs.

Obviously if you're really fast you can slide in quick and lock it, but using the vice grip and especially the outside leg on top of their head is a safe way for beginner marcers until they get more comfortable. It keep the posture broken and crowds the space for their arm to move across. No offense is perfect but this helps.
Another cool way is to pop up to knee on belly and bait them to come up so that when you slide for the marce their underhook just falls off. http://i.imgur.com/PlJynAT.gif He stays tight and on his side when he slides which also makes it harder for their arm to come across.
One last thing that also can help if you slide to the marce from the front headlock is to kick your leg back. This also pops their underhook off. Here's Rafael Lovato Jr doing it http://i.imgur.com/Bb38eVL.gif Also check how he also doesn't fall flat back either, but stays on his side as he falls into it. Here's another of Lovato staying tight and on his side http://i.imgur.com/j4wpRtI.gif
Once you have the marce, you can obviously finish by walking in like above, or or to keep them from running away you can trap their legs, or step to mount them no matter which way they move way they fall to defend.

Also, as far as the picture day frame, this doesn't cover how to stop it, but if you can trap their arm in between your legs before locking up your darce, it at least makes the picture day harder for them to do. I wish I had a gif to show using your knee from the vice grip to break off their frame, or a gif of Rafa Mendes doing it from the full darce with his inner thigh. I can't find any though.

EDIT: Here are a couple of ways
You can also use a Rafa Mendes darce to anaconda transition http://i.imgur.com/kY0EPev.gif
Will this work as a defence for the Japanese neck tie too? Or has anyone tried?
Thanks, Brandon! I actually didn't make the gifs. There's another poster on this forum that did though. If he wants to take credit I'm sure he will. He's working on something really cool involving darces, their variations, and arm triangle style chokes in general. It should be thorough and gif heavy, including techniques from some notable MMA fights, grappling matches, rolling sessions, and instructionals.
I am learning how to make gifs, and when I do, I definitely plan to upload more of them. There were some pretty cool applications of these marce details in some grappling matches, rolls, and MMA fights that I would've liked to add, and since I don't have gifs for them, I'm just going to start making them. I'm trying to work on some gifs now for a Rafaconda post.
I appreciate the compliment and I'd say the same about you. Thanks for making this awesome thread! I finally tried to picture day defense on Friday against a really good darcer, and it worked really good.
Also like I've told you. I would love to join 10th Planet. I only get to do no-gi a couple times a week and hopefully I can move soon to somewhere that has school close by. The closest one to me currently is about 6 hours away. I post a lot of technique stuff here and what I think is some good stuff and sometimes I worry that no one cares or checks it out because I'm not at a 10p school. You've made me feel better about that and hopefully I can also join 10th Planet soon.
