I love using the flying scissors. Works well with my whizzer and uchi mata. Wish mine was as good as Reilly's.

Maybe can be done with the knot control. It inverted leg control (inverted knot)??
I'm gonna try the grip in couple spot today.
Agreed attacking the submission before the position of control generally leads into an escape. Need to isolate those hips first. I'd like to see it done after control is established, the grip on the foot looks powerful, but if its hard to establish after in a position it'll be low percentage.
Well said. The rule is position before submission. What that means is the control is everything. That's a standard rule for all subs... I dunno why people treat leglocks differently. No wonder foot locks have the stigma of being "catch style". Ya probably because you don't apply the same philosophy and principles to them that you do all other subs. I can try a RNC (best sub in the book) with no control of hips and even the RNC becomes shit.
Not disagreeing, would just like to add that in Marcelo's latest book, he says position over submission every time except in the case of the RNC. He says if he's on the back and the RNC is open, regardless if two hooks or less, he is attacking the RNC. But then again, this is Marcelo, and if anyone would jump on RNC like that, it'd be Marcelo.
