Is Frank "The Man" James good or bad for 10th Planet??

Ok...read that epic thread.

My take is that dude got overzealous and butt hurt over eisner's response. Instead of taking it even after eddie clarified, he still kept going. That's the problem with the internet.....people don't know when to just let it go. The rest of the thread just turned into him trying to protect his e-peen. It happens....rank is serious business...especially with the explosive popularity of BJJ...so when people start suggesting promotions that's touchy. If no one is disagreeing with those facts we're straight and we should just keep it pushing.

How much practical (as in visiting real life BJJ training facilities, not reading internet talk) experience do you have with it though? I see alot of things espoused by 10PJJ in BJJ places. Does everyone in these places agree with everything 10PJJ does? No, but to be honest you can talk to two groups of people affilated under two different BJJ umbrellas (hell some guys where both are affiliated with alliance dont agree on everything, tech or otherwise) and they dont all paddle the boat the exact same way. I seriously doubt you will create great offense by practicing the techs, so long as you understand you are there to learn first, I dont forsee a problem.

well no training atm. but i see what you're saying. i just wouldn't want to start training somewhere and get in an argument with the instructor/students for using another system.

I guess it could happen, but I seriously doubt you would be reprimanded. Now if you want to create a combative argumentative tone, I guess it could go sour, but you didnt strike me as that sort, more the sort worried from internet stories than real life stories.

yeh man. i always try to take a peaceful approach to everything i do. but u are right. from what i've read it seems most traditional schools kinda hate on 10thplanet. i just wanna find a school that trains and reps 10thplanet but if i have to train somewhere else i guess i will. up until now i've sort of been lurking and learning all i can from forums/videos/etc.. but i think its really time to start training. ever since i first heard/learned about 10thplanet it's had my attention as far as grappling goes. but restraints like money/family life have put a hold on me beginning my jiu jitsu journey. hopefully this school in Cary NC works out for me. thx again for the help stnl/jay chow.

Question 1: i didn't read a decision anywhere on what the community wants to do with you, or more importantly what Eddie wants to do with you, so what the hell are you talking about?
Question 2 part A: why have you stopped teaching?
Question 3: what is your actually rank, under who, to teach? From what i have read, and based on the inquisitive dialouge between other members, you are an honorary purple belt...but what do you believe yourself to be; a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu?
Question 4: if you are so in debt, how can you afford to quit your job? Do you have other work?
Question 5: why did you put so much personal information about yourself on this place? It seems more like a cry for help then clarification of facts.

I went to an Eddie seminar at Kevin's school in DE; there was a fella there, dark skinned complexion, possibly Indian, who was a 15 year Renzo white belt! Seemed like a pretty nice dude. Eddie exclaimed, "15 years, what happened?" Like with the rest of us, life gets in the way. Coming on a forum of a style of Jiu Jitsu that you love (and have blue balls for) and getting all crazy, then declaring that you are leaving the forum and pouting all the way stating that you closed up shop; is crazy talk. Grow up dude.

And you are mistaken sir, JC Chow is not equally responsible for all of this hype; it is you. At any point all you had to do was apologize, stop the fucking RANTING, and lay low.
