Good point. When I was 18, 30 might as well have been dead. But, now that I am (almost) 30, I could kick the crap out of 18 year old me, I am happier than 18 year old me, and I am a better man than 18 year old me. As far as I can tell, I am in my prime.

If Kurtzweil is right we'll all be immortal soon anyway...

...he's not though, we're all going to be exterminated by the machines.

Great thread man, I just turned 30 myself this year and already saw that while I'm as strong and as wise as I've ever been when I do get hurt it takes longer to heal, and that certain things that didn't make me sore or hurt then now do a little. Keep going though, martial arts has a way of keeping us young!!!

Agree. The 34 year old me is an immeasurable better human being than the 18 year old version in every way.

I will be 34 in May. I had surgury on bone spurs in my left hip in June of 2011. I did pretty well at this last NAGA St Louis (3-0), and I plan on attending the IBJJ wold Championships this year.

Fuck anybody under 30. Yeah you..
