Matt Hughes Hunting controversy

I'd like to get into hunting. I keep putting it off. One day I want an elk. I don't want the heads though. I want their meat and skin. Their leather is friggin amazing. And venison is delicious. Never tasted elk though.

next weekend here in Tx.

As for the animals that Matt Hughes and son kill.....they villages over in that are are fed with that meat as well they get to eat on the animals while in camp. The villagers use all the remains of bones and any hide that is left over to make souviners with to bring them money so animals arent just getting killed to be in a pic.

I feel you i mean he kind of saves face with that but still. I'm a hunter born and bread. I have so much love and respect for nature i never take what cant use and what not. I feel i have a deep connection with the earth through hunting, and when i look at Matt i just don't see these things present. I think he does it for the thrill of kill, and while thats def a part of hunting it's not truly what it is.

At the end of the day when you put Matt next to someone who posses that connection with nature you will see Matt standing next to a real hunter. I know it sounds like kinda of weird but man until your a part of a hunting culture you wont understand.

No no no I'm saying some people wont understand the difference between some like myself (or you. Your a hunter right?) and Matt until they hunt and find that deep connection with nature.

I guess what im saying is that its hard for outsiders looking in to differentiate between the kind of people we are and the kind of person Matt is.

Absolutley I'm a hunter just like your self i came out the womb with a bow and gun in hand

and yes its very hard for outsiders that have no clue why we do what we do.
