Hey sorry man, from your first post I thought you had the underhook and just couldn't break the grip. If he has double unders it's a little different. Eddies mount game is sick though so I'm sure you still got good value.

I think Ari showed me this technique after he made this video,The video is not an accurate depiction, but it is as close as I can find. The technique I am referring to I think is called the compressor. Works great when someone body locks you with double unders. Basically you post on one foot elevating your opponent and put your hands together, straighten your arms on his head and push down to break the grip. When his grips breaks apart, swing your arm (same side as leg posted) and hug the knee that is posted, thus trapping his arm (keep it tight) your opponent is now open for a go go, or if you prefer stay posted and hugging your knee tight and begin ground and pound as he only has his other hand to defend himself.
Note: If you want ground and pound post up on the leg opposite your power hand, as you will only have one arm to strike with. The other will be busy keeping the arm trapped.

Feet on the hips doesn't always break the grip. Depends on how good your monkey mount pressure is as opposed to his defense/grip :-)

I just love the monkey mount position - feels really solid and I can stop them bucking me off by using my legs - it's just a bummer if I can't break their grip - I'm going to try going for a gogo even with their grip still on - hey, maybe it will work :)
Also wondering if they flatten their legs taking away the hip I might still get some purchase by clamping my soles to the outside of their hips... Just thinking out loud - need to get on the mat and try it...
I love when guys hug my torso (pause). I just set up my mono plata and pick how I wanna finish. Brandon Mccaghren taught it at the first east coast seminar and I fell in love with it. Usually I have to set it up, but when a guy hugs they do 90% of the work for me.
