He kept letting go of new york to punch and elbow Thomson. If he would have just kept hugging the knee and striking with the other arm, Thomson might not have gotten out.

Squeeze issues and not battle ready looks a lot like that but yeah I was kind of shocked to be honest. He never hugged the knee at all. I loved his elbows. Muddy waters? I think not.
Can you imagine, with those tree trunk legs of his, what he could develop if he put in some big numbers??
He would finish fights off his back!! And it would make me very happy!
just to make it clear, i wasnt saying he had muddy waters, just that stating how he was starting the path towards it, ie NYC.
i was just happy that he didnt use shitty mission control let alone NYC
He got the zombie fairly easily, I wonder why he didn't transition to something else. Seemed like Josh didn't really know what was going on.
it was glorious haha
I used to train at the lab with John/Ben and if I'd ever pull rubber guard he'd never say anything negative. But then again it was when I still reeaallyy sucked at it, so he probably saw how bad I was doing with it and figured i was learning my lesson first hand.
Everyone keeps saying "weak squeeze" or something similar. I respectfully disagree. Ben Henderson is one of the strongest and best athletes at 155... He didn't have squeeze issues or weak leg curls...guy might have heavyweight strength legs.. No joke. He had a bad angle. Ben was flat or even on the wrong angle/hip the whole time. He wasn't too weak, his angle was too weak. Also, josh Thompson is no punk! (Pun intended)
Toney ferguson said on Twitter that he used the double bagger... I was like I though that was crack head control. I'll have to look up what that is again. U can't find much on YouTube with 10 p terminology unfortunately.
