I think Aaron trains mma I sold him a bunch of hayabusa gear
Oh gawd hahaha I shouldn't be laughing at this
From what I saw on The Ultimate Fighter it seems that Pena's got kind of a victim complex so she might be blowing the "assault" thing out of proportion, but I don't personally know her so I can't really make that kind of judgement. Regardless of what happened, an injury (or three) is still an injury and that's pretty shitty. I've had three knee surgeries myself and it's not a fun time :(
Why? Most fans and critics of any sport have only competed at low levels if at all. You friends or somethin'?
Ive only done semi-contact in striking as far as competition. I suppose Im ok at it, I train with a boxing coach and I got 4th gup in TKD when I was a kid and I won a semi contact kickboxing tournament. I currently train mma and shotokan. Our local promotions have no insurance for fighters so for the next year or two Im just training. I already have thousands in unpaid medical bills so I figure I'll get ahead a bit on funds first.
What do I need to do to deserve an opinion?
btw that hayabusa gear is amazing, my coach always jokes that I should make the guys Im sparing wear my gloves.
I find it hard to believe that a guy would just come up and attack one of his teammates, especially a highly touted UFC star, just out of jealousy or being a jerk. However, if one of my teammates injured me by accident, I would go to the media IMMEDIATELY if they were talking shit about my gym and lying about a teammate attacking me. Seems kinda odd she hasn't come out and made a statement defending them.
On the show they made her out to be a "princess", how true that is I don't know. I know that The Mike Chiesa article just came out and he was saying that it wasn't a malicious attack. Who knows, maybe she wanted out and they were pissed off, maybe she was acting one way and the guy held on ala palhares, we will probably never know the answer. Hopefully she has a speedy recovery I would like to see her fight in the UFC one day, unfortunately with her injuries that they have listed she may never step foot in the octagon.
Pena hasn't called it assault, that was Dana White. That being said, she hasn't denied it. She's defended her gym though, and I'd have to agree with her. The majority of gyms have to weed out their share of pricks and idiots. If the assault story is true and not just exaggerated, I would condemn the guy who jumped on her, not the gym. That gym has produced two TUF winners. Kinda hard to say it's a horrible gym from one known incident.
