LOL. Yeah I grew up in a few rough neighborhoods. That kinda mess would make me uncomfortable even if it's well intentioned. Ha

I dont see how it deteriorated at all or any debate going on?
Yep. I just bought my wife the new outback 2.5 with all the bells and whistles. We have had Subaru's for 12 yrs. Awesome car but in Oz no one gives a fuck.
You've got about 3-5 different waves down here. I mean EVERYONE waves. When my brother came down from Elkhart Indiana he damned near got shot quite a few times. I remember him saying "Why the fuck are people flipping me off?" I tried to explain that they were waving but his quick temper got his ass whipped a few times lol.
I've got a 2007 WRX and a 2011 Wrangler. I get waved at all the time. I don't see a problem with friendliness and positve vibes.
You'd get a sore arm waving in Australia. Subi's are super common and loved them ever since my friend put an imported turbo into his liberty/legacy wagon in 1996 cause you could get them in Australia.
Laughed when I lived in Canada people thought I loved them cause they were Aussie seeing as they were advertised by Paul Hogan (Crocodile Dundee) for some weird reason and had Roo in the name :)
