Its awesome if that is the exact style of deep half they are playing. This issues with specific response to specific attack its that you are betting on them attacking you with specific positioning. There are a number of variations of deep half feet and arm positioning.
If they butterfly with the bottom foot and use double underhooks version of the deep half you just gave up a sweep and a pass. just something to ponder.
Good Stuff!!
Nice, thanks for another nice tech
Absolutely.
I'm also banking on him taking the bait on the underhook, which is a risk. After guys are hip to it, they may not fall for it anymore.
I feel like if I am trying to respond to a deep half guard with something as nuanced as this sequence, I should be sensitive enough to the particulars of the situation to know if the foot positioning of my opponent will allow for something like this. If he is elevating my foot with his butterfly hook, I should be able to feel that pretty early on in the position and react accordingly.
Different tools for different jobs.
I should have made mention of his foot positioning in the beginning of the video.
Thanks for responding, Herzog.
beautifull!!
What I was referring to In regards to arm positioning was that if someone one plays deep half with double unders instead of one under/home alone, it would completely bypass the entire carni.
I play alot of deep half and when i come out the back door I throw a underhook because I knee cut pass, I usto hang on the leg alot more but I just fly straight to side control. That's the reason "I" throw the underhook, Brandon feels me the underhook way before i throw it just on how sweeping too
break down = A++
thanks bro
