Alex is closer to you in Walnut Creek, I would make it to his spot but Denny's is a must. I have friends out there, but feel free to add me on facebook if you have one and we can set something up if I am in town :)

Hey man, I travel to Sacramento frequently and train at a few places I HIGHLY Recommend. I never miss a no-gi class at Cassio Werneck's academy. He is an awesome guy, is down with the System, and a Phalanx athlete :).
I would also suggest Waza BJJ in Elk Grove. They don't have specific no-gi classes but the owner and head instructor (Derek) welcomes TPJJ peeps to roll in his gi class. In fact I'm heading up in two weeks and will be wearing my TPJJ gear while I roll in their gi class. He's a great guy. Lastly, check out Carnage MMA in Orangevale. Jaime Jarra is very good at no-gi and pretty much the scariest looking guy I've ever seen but also very nice and polite. Hope this helps!
Oh and I should also add that Cassio Werneck taught everything Eddie did at M3 last week in his class....both the gi and no gi class. Lots of love in Sacramento, just not at Yemaso. Check out Team Werneck and you can get all the TPJJ training you want brotha.
Derek is awesome at Waza and where I started. He has a couple of purples that know the system as well. No twisters or not many leg locks there just FYI. He only does GI but is open to any style you want to do also a black belt under Cassio. Hey Phalanx when you are in Sac you should come train with Gustavo
Yeah it is but I didn't hurt me self rolling. When I roll I tap early and try to roll respectfully to reduce injuries to both my partner and I.
I was out hiking and I took a spill and twisted my knee really bad. The Dr said I tore my ACL and MCL. I go for a MRI in May to see the extent of the damage. Sux ass...
JJ is like my Zen. Dont take training for granted. I did and would miss days or even weeks at times. Now that I can't train at all I REALLY miss it. Cant wait to heal up and get back to training.
