The best examples of djent I know of are meshuggah (obviously), tesseract, and The Ocean Collective
Gojira is pretty djenty sometimes too.

It's a small survey done in the UK about djent bands. The number is the amount of people who voted the band as djent.
For prog-metal I would have to say Between the Buried and Me does it best.
jerry is right about djent. it is a tone shaping technique. there are a ton of bands that use it now and there has been a sub-genre of prog-metal created that people refer to as "djent". meshugga was one of the pioneers. periphery, tesseract, and fellsilent are all bands that helped to propogate the style. there seems to be an overwhelming amount of bands using this style nowadays. i dig it and it actually takes a good amount of talent to play, so more power to em. :)
