Does anyone teach self defense separate from Jitz? If not, do you teach self defense in Jitz and how much emphasis do you put into it in comparison and how do you incorporate it into classes?
Not separate, but usually start with it for beginners. I think you have to show people off the street jiu jitsu through a lense they can understand, which is usually clinching against strikes, or getting out of a headlock for instance.Quote:
