My thoughts exactly.

I think Saunders was just really tired, and not from lack of cardio (I think his cardio is good), but from getting rocked a few times. Robertson can fucking swat man, and he caught Saunders a few times and gave him tweetie bird syndrome. Once Saunders had him in rubber guard, I think he felt very safe with the control, and didn't want to fuck up and end up with Robertson posturing up in his guard and dropping bombs. Even just a few of Robertson's bombs getting thru could be enough to put Saunders out. He zombie'd several times, but just didn't seem comfortable transitioning away from that control...felt very comfortable slicing up Robertson while Robertson was basically defenseless. That's what I took from it anyway.
Wow, what a fight. And the ease with which Saunders got into dead orchard, amazing. I think that this works even better as a proof of concept of rubber guard in mma than his omoplata submission, because it showed that if you want to just f*ck the other guy up, it will present him to you fully open AND keeping you safe at the same time.
yeah, well put.
Bump for the breakdown in case you missed it
