Gym isn't boring if you make consistent progress :P And you know how to deal with plateaus etc.. Just gotta know what you're doing and it never gets old.
the gym does get boring after a while, its the same place everytime doing mostly the same stuff all the time.
but thats one thing about P90X that i didnt like, you watch the same videos over and over, every little joke or quirky thing he says turns into an annoying phrase that you cant avoid. it was nice though, i could always keep up with them, except in plyometrics and yoga lol.
Look just do your best and forget the rest!

Any high intensity Interval training with body confusion works. The problem is sticking with it. But these are definately cheaper than a personal trainer. The down side is no regressions if the person really needs them. All good though.
