I am not 100% Vegan, but I very Rarely eat meat. Its less than 5% of my diet. That 5% is mostly fish anyway. Or Eggs. What meat/ Dairy I do consume is Organic. I know the video is a little Bias, but its stil messed up. I can say personaly that eating a mostly Vegan diet has made me feel healthier, and I wake up in the morning refreshed everyday. I havent lost any strength either. Plus my cardio has gotten better.
welp.. i made it 1:21 into that video. aanndd.. im done. Though im assuming not all farmers treat their animals that way. I was giving thought into trying out the whole "no meat" thing for awhile just to see how it effected me. But I'm one of those people that dont see animals any different than i do plants. I figure it's all living in its own way. We need to eat to survive. And if there was a tiger in the jungle and it was hungry and spotted me.. i would expect it to do the same. Circle of life i guess. I either kill mother nature, or I kill an animal.. either way something has to die. So i'll try no meat for 6 months and see if i feel healthier.. and if so, i'll stick with it. if not, I'll just buy my meat from the store.. it still dies.. but at least i dont have to kill it myself. One of the pros of being at the top of the gene pool i guess.. we've somewhat separated ourselves from the need to kill our own food. Though i do wonder.. gorillas are vegetarians right? and they are freakishly strong.. so i have to assume you must be able to get all necessities without the need of meat yeah?
Yeah Gorillas and chimps eat a diet of 99% Vegetarian. The last 1% comes from termites. Whats even scarier is when you realize that all of the meat you buy in the store comes from about 5 or 6 different companies. All the farms that those companies run are Indutrial farms just like the ones in the Video. Smithfield Meats do about 95% of the Nations pork.
so THATS the secret.. termites! Time to reach my REAL potential with my new 100% termite diet.
umm.. huh?.. I'm not one to feed into negativity.. so let me start by saying sorry if somehow that last comment offended you. It was meant to be a purely ironic comment. Perhaps it's still stuck in my head with the motives intended.. so I'm having a hard time picking up how you received it.. but nevertheless I wasnt trying to insult you or post it with the intent of it being taken in any other way other than ironic.. I dont ACTUALLY intend to eat nothing but termites.. to be honest.. i dont actually plan on eating termites at all. lol. It was made as more of a joke. But apparently it was taken in another way so allow me to withdraw my previous statement and exchange it for this one... "Wow, i had no idea that so many of the industrial farms were run that way.. it sucks knowing that we (people who eat meat) are funding things like that without even knowing. well.. looks like just another incentive for me to try out this vegetarian diet"
I just sensed some Sarcasm, thats all. If you do try no meat for a while, remember to eat plenty of greens. Its so easy to overload on Fruit cause it tastes sooooo good. Even though there is no meat, your diet still has to be balanced. Organic Produce is even better, but its a little more pricey. I, however, dont mind paying a little extra for better quality. Try to find a local Farmer's Market to shop at. They have the best produce. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions.
Sarcasm? Here?
