I think jones would take that one. Silva would be hard to finish but Jones would toss him then punish him with the 84 inch reach

Vicious ground and pound! The kid hasn't even been challenged yet. What I like the most about Bones is that he fights his fight. I know many fighters say this but Jones really goes in and does whatever he wants, regardless of his oppenent. He has completely destroyed everyone in his path. With that said I am a "Spider" fan and think that this would be the ultimate test for both warriors.
I know that if Silva got taken down, hes not gonna be able to sit in guard and take the GNP like he did against Sonnen. Jones's is Just plain horrific. In the stand up I think that Jones would have to be very careful because if he missed with one of his trademark super moves, (spinning back elbow, back kick) Silva WILL make him pay and it will be very deadly. Its a fight that I would love to see overall.
bones jones has the advantage in striking... everyone thought rua would of killed rua standing but the oppisite happened
not sure where the shogun/jones thread is and if its buried I didn't want to bump it. But I'll use this to humbly admit I was completely 100% wrong. Shogun got outclassed... I'm only 80% sold on Jones though because shogun was post surgery and as we know from the past he hasn't performed well afterwards and it showed sat.. he looked totally out of shape. After Evans I'll be 100% sold on jones.
As far as silva/jones it would be much like gsp/silva. Size is too much to give up... I'd think if Silva thought he had the size to effectively compete in light heavy then he'd have the belt. Just like Silva would beat GSP(coming from a Silva hater) Jones would beat Silva.
Would I watch the fight.. yeah.. would it be competitive.. I doubt it. At this time at least not something I'd "want" to see
He gassed the first round of the rua fight around 3+min... Just recovered and came back strong.
Bones would KO Silva.
it would be a epic fight. i hope anderson aint over the hill when it does.
yea doesn't jones have the biggest reach in the ufc?
@Luis Ho
Striking.....I'd say this is a toss up, Anderson is faster, Jones has the reach, and both are creative and unpredictable.
Takedowns....Defenitely goes to Jones
Submissions.....I'd give this one to Anderson, though that choke on Bader was sick.
Experience.....ummm yea Anderson
This fight is intrigueing...as is the GSP vs. Andersen. Question is are these superfights ever going to happen, or are we going to go through the garbage that Pac-man and Mayweather have put us through? Defenitely not the drama boxing gives us because of the contracts, managers, and promoters involved with the two parties...but can any afford to have their "legacy" tarnished because of this? They shouldnt even have to pick one weight class, just have the two parties agree on a catchweight and get'r done. This is far in the future though as Jones should welcome (and whoop) all challengers in the light heavys first...but then again Andersen aint no spring chicken...all the questions...
Some of my students have been throwing around the name Phil Davis, as the only guy who has a legitimate chance to take on Jon Jones. His wrestling pedigree and awesome athleticism could give Jon Jones a run for his money. What do you guys think?
