I'm pretty sure Eddie did it on one of the MTS, not 100% sure though.

i bet you that your right.. except he must have given it a different name. if only i knew which episode...
honestly im just going crazy with butterfly guard atm. im thinking that the stomp would be the best option to nullify someone with good shoulder pinning.
Not exactly what Zog suggested but mts 15 has a nice option.
I don't know what's up with my whip up, but I find it very hard to whip up guys heavier than me, which is most of my gym. Being 149 and lean is fun, but makes my 1/2 guard game a real workout since most guys are 160-180 that I roll with. Do I need to put more effort into core exercises like hanging leg lifts, crunches, kettle bells etc, or is this a technique thing. I haven't yet successfully whipped up my 190 pound buddy even an inch. Yes I have double underhooks.
Stephen, we worked on something similar to this. We used the whip down (in this case you would be whipping to your left) which will force him to post out with his right hand (or be swept). As we whip down we are on our left hip (even if he is holding on for dear life). Then we start to shrug while controlling his right arm with our left. Once we freed the head I believe we switched to a calf crank or an ankle lock but it's been a while and I'm going from memory. I hope this makes sense.
Ya, it doesn't have any time stamp descriptions just a title.
I'm loving the whip down. Hitting a leg lock on anyone at Empire has grown considerably more difficult over the years and that one from MTS 15 is no exception, but because everybody's afraid of the ankle lock you can use the whip down to get them to shift their weight and switch to the whip up. Gotta have your shrimping together for that, but it works.
Core work will help of course, but it's as much technique (or more) as anything; even with the heavy guys. STRETCH that lockdown before you begin to whip. That moves his hips further down and takes some of the pressure off of your upper body; especially if he's a big guy, you aren't whipping him anywhere if his hips are higher than yours. Coach always points out this detail too: try to knee him square in the ass when you're whipping. Extend the lockdown, heels up, knee him HARD in the ass, and shrimp to your side. If your lockdown is solid you won't really hit him in the ass; the mechanics of trying to do that with his leg locked down will lift his hips and create the space you need to get to your side.
